For Lance, helping his clients understand the basics of financial planning is a challenge that he loves. He knows that this understanding can help people get to a better quality of life. He focuses on the financial planning, so his clients can focus on the things they want to be doing.

Lance loves to work across the board, with anybody who is interested in taking advice. He’s not interested in age or life-stage, more in how his clients think and what they want to achieve. Having grown up with finance in the family, he knows the value of getting the basics in place, and making them simple for clients who want to know they’re being taken care of.


Lance grew up with Financial Planner Dennis Keall as his Dad, and continues to work closely with him today. After gaining valuable experience in one of the world's largest international banking networks, Lance joined his father at NZFP in 2005. He then achieved his CFPCM designation in October 2007.


Lance’s favourite part of his job is meeting new people and having new situations to sink his teeth into. With long-standing clients that he shares with Dennis, he also understands the value of getting to know each one really well.

Planning at the highest level

Lance’s major focus is on planning. His approach is lifestyle-focussed rather than investment-details focussed, setting up the structure to make his clients’ ideal lifestyle a reality. 

“The most important benefit we can offer is financial planning at the highest level. Getting a good plan in place that allows people to get to where they want to be, in the most simple efficient, effective way possible.” 

Lance makes getting to know his clients a priority. Once the plans are in place, he wants to know how life’s going, how the family is and what trips are on the cards. 

He loves making the most out of life, spending time with his wife and kids and getting outdoors. Lance enjoys surfing, a spot of fishing, rugby, and is a regular tennis and squash player for the Wainuiomata clubs.
