Karen has a long association with the financial industry having spent 19 years in the banking sector with Westpac and a further 6 years within the accounting fraternity. Expanding her knowledge to provide Financial Advice through extra mural study at Waikato University where she gained a Post Graduate Diploma in Personal Financial Planning in 2006 and then completing her CFPCM with the Institute of Financial Advisers the following year.

A founding Trustee with Tomorrow’s schools Karen enjoyed over twelve years involvement in the management and chairmanship of both Primary and Secondary schools in the East Otago area.

Karen lives with her husband on the picturesque Otago Peninsula, where she enjoys walking, gardening, reading, good food and entertaining but most importantly the luxury of having her children and their families living close by.
