After completing my studies and starting my career as a Chartered Accountant in Christchurch I then held the position of Company Secretary for six years with the publically listed company, Radio Avon Ltd. After that my family and I moved to Hamilton where I managed a legal practice for eight years before we decided to move back to Christchurch.

I wanted to help New Zealanders get ahead and allow them to achieve their goals and objectives in life through the accumulation and management of their wealth. For me this was achieved by becoming a financial planner, which I attained in 1988. Through the following years I really developed great admiration for people who believed they weren't able to do anything financially for themselves but by having the courage to commit to and focus on a plan for themselves were able to achieve their goals.

As I have grown in the industry I have developed a focus on people who are starting the move, or transition, from their working life to one where they are able to enjoy their retirement. There are many questions and options that people have at this stage and I help them work through those so they have the freedom to enjoy life.
