A free, no obligation initial consultation
Our first meeting is an opportunity for you to find out how we work to see if our service is going to suit you and for us to gain an understanding of your needs and goals.
The clear explanation of all your options
In preparing a written financial plan, we look at your vision for the future, values, goals, your resources and then after evaluating all your options, we present our recommendations to you.
Disclosure of all costs
If we decide to work together, all the costs pertaining to your financial plan and investment strategy will be agreed upon before we commence any work. Because we do not take commission for the placement of investments, you have more money to work towards your goals.
Advice from experienced and qualified professionals
Our advisers are amongst the most qualified and experienced financial planners in New Zealand . All senior advisers are required to hold the coveted CFP (Certified Financial
PlannerCM) professional designation and have many years experience helping people achieve their financial goals. Many hold additional relevant professional degrees. All our planners are also monitored and required to undertake ongoing training and education in order to give you the assurance you need that their advice is expert and authoritative.
Confidence and discretion
All discussions, meetings, dealings with us are held in complete confidence. All our staff commit to a code of conduct (which you are welcome to view) that protects you as well as our reputation and surpasses current legislative and industry standards. Complete client confidentiality is a core part of this agreement.
Privacy
New Zealand Financial Planning is committed to safeguarding your privacy on and offline.
We only use the information collected about you to understand your needs and deliver tailored advice that meets your expectations. No information about you or pertinent to you is passed on to anybody else without your express consent.
Working with your lawyer or accountant
With your permission, our financial plans are generally prepared in consultation with your lawyer and/or accountant.
All investments in your name
None of your money is held or received by us other than the agreed fees. All investments are made in your name and passed on to an independent custodial trustee. All our investment advice is backed up by independent investment research commonly held as the best in the business. We are purely financial planners.
Ongoing monitoring, regular reporting and timely notification of key changes
We continuously review all client portfolios every quarter and report six monthly or annually, depending on your preference. If any key legislative or economic changes occur in the interim, we undertake to advise you promptly. We also offer face to face reviews of your portfolio and financial affairs whenever you would like them, however we try to be proactive rather than reactive in anticipating your need for such a meeting.
Commitment to transparency and plain English
We keep our fees and services as transparent as possible and all our communications to you in plain English.
Our complaint process
We make every effort to get things right first time. If, however, at any time in the course of working together, you feel disappointed in our level of service, please let us know so we can resolve the matter promptly.
If the matter remains unresolved after speaking with your financial planner, we invite you to make a formal complaint by telephone, email or letter to Craig Dealey, our General Manager.
