AFA, CFPCM, Director NZFP
Over the years I've had people tell me that they could not afford a financial planner, suggesting you have to be wealthy to afford such a service. That simply is not correct.
I work for people who are saving a couple of hundred dollars a month through to those that have accumulated reasonably large amounts of capital. The process remains the same for both - it's just the zeros that are different.
Most of us seek financial freedom and security during our adult lives. That is not always easy to achieve. Removing or dealing with potential threats is the first task to achieving financial security.
Building a well constructed investment portfolio comes after all those other matters have been attended to.
There is no point in saving/investing your hard-earned capital if one aspect of your life could threaten your ability to hold on to those dollars.
I am passionate about helping people get ahead as best they can. In order to do that their planning needs to be dovetailed to their individual situations. One size does not fit all.
What is required to provide financial security at age 35 will be quite different to what is required at age 75. It cannot be set in concrete. It must be flexible in order to accommodate our changing lives.
I have been working with some of my clients for over 21 years - 21 years of fun, the occasional challenge, but the important thing is we continue to respect each other and work together to ensure their continued financial security.
So, this is what my work involves me in, and I love it!
"I am passionate about helping people get ahead as best they can."
